- Challenge Grant Inspires Additional $112,000 in Corporate Funding Support From JPMorgan Chase, Nine Others -
ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- LibertyGives, the charitable foundation of the jvid视频 (Nasdaq: LMCA, LMCB), today announced it has awarded a three-year, $75,000 challenge grant to Teach For America-Colorado. The grant, launched in July, called on other corporate donors to match or exceed LibertyGives鈥 initial gift. The LibertyGives grant generated an additional $112,000 of corporate funding support that will support the ongoing recruitment, training and professional development of Teach For America teachers, also known as corps members, in the Colorado Springs and Denver areas.

Teach For America, which has been a member of the Colorado education community since 2007, is the national corps of outstanding recent college graduates who commit to teach for two years in urban and rural public schools and become lifelong leaders in expanding educational opportunity. This year in Colorado, 330 corps members are reaching nearly 21,000 students. Another 550 alumni call Colorado home and work from all sectors to ensure educational excellence and equity for all students.
Inspired by the $75,000 challenge grant from LibertyGives, JPMorgan Chase contributed $35,000 in funding which is directly supporting seven Teach For America teachers at West High School in Denver.
